At Bluegrass Bicycle, there isn't much we haven't seen over the years. Complete Tune-ups
Our Complete Tune-Ups are thorough and complete. During a Complete Tune-Up we will:
- Remove, tension and true wheels
- Pull, inspect and lubricate cables & housing
- Inspect and adjust bottom bracket, headset and wheel bearings
- Polish frame and fork
- Clean rims to insure better braking
- Adjust brake and gear systems
Overhauls
Overhauls include disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, assembling and adjusting bearing areas of the bicycle. We recommend a drive train overhaul at least once a year for bikes that have been exposed to extreme conditions or have been ridden over 2000 miles.
Wheel Building
A custom hand built wheel can give you the strength & durability or lightness & speed that is hard to match in a stock wheel. Our wheel builder has over 20 years of experience building custom wheels. We will discuss your wheel needs with you and make recommendations on your choice of hub, rim and spokes. Hub choices include Shimano, Campagnolo, Chris King, DT Swiss, Phil Wood, Velocity and others. All custom wheels are built with DT Swiss or Wheelsmith spokes. Then they are laced, trued, stress relieved and tensioned to ensure a long life.
