Welcome to the Bluegrass Bicycle/GHP BMX Race Team Site.
 
We are a USA BMX - affiliated team racing in the "Bike Shop" division. The team is composed predominantly from the Louisville, Kentucky area as well as riders from Indiana and Ohio. Winning and being successful are obviously the team's goals, but we strive to reach these goals by having fun and setting the USA BMX's standard for sportsmanship and fun competition by having a
great time racing with our friends, families and the bmx community.

BB/GHPBMX- Bluegrass Bicycle/GHP BMX- calls Derby City Bmx in Louisville,KY it's home track. But, the team also has riders from Evansville,IN and the Indy area as well as Miamisburg,OH.

 

There are quite a few levels of rider on BB/GHPBMX. Some riders race every week only at their home track of Derby City Bmx while others seem to hit nearly all the big Nationals and Redline Cup Races. There are no "mandatory races". This is one of the best parts of being a BB/GHPBMX Team Rider. We at Bluegrass Bicycle/GHP BMX know that in order to have those experienced older riders in the Intermediate/Expert classes, we all have to start as a Novice rider.

So while USA BMX doesn't recognize the younger Novice riders as team members, BB/GHPBMX does and welcomes those riders in their beginning bmx careers. We can't sign every Novice/new rider, but if a rider fits our program then BB/GHPBMX welcomes them at any level.

 

BB/GHPBMX riders have a focus on being team oriented, enjoying the family atmosphere and having a great time while racing bmx.

Bluegrass Bicycle/GHP BMX  as a team focuses on sportsmanship, a family environment and having a great time at the races and after the races. BB/GHPBMX usually has two team events each year where riders, families and sponsors get together for food and fun and new rider introductions and team & rider accomplishments.

 

Since many USA BMX races are in some pretty interesting places, BB/GHPBMX also tries to make plans to see the sights when possible after/before the races which brings the team closer together as a family.

 

BB/GHPBMX not only has the Team Web Site, but we also have a Team Facebook and through both of these venues BB/GHPBMX is presented as a team where every rider counts and his or her successes are captured in race results, photos and video to show our riders at their best. Going to the races knowing you have your team members to cheer you on as well as back you up in an equipment emergency is why we also like to sit together at races indoor or outdoor to support the riders.

 

At BB/GHPBMX, a new rider becomes part of the BB/GHPBMX family right away.
